Sustainability
Live Nation Entertainment, the world’s leading live entertainment company, announced on May 23, 2019, that its global sustainability coalition, Green Nation, committed to new environmental goals for all Live Nation owned and operated venues, clubs, theaters and festivals, with the primary target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030, as well as ending the use and sale of single-use plastics at all owned and operated venues and festivals.
In keeping pace with Green Nation’s aggressive, global sustainability plans, we’ve locally taken off here at Ameris Bank Ampitheatre as well. Some of our implementations include:
- Providing “one for one” recycling-to-trash receptacles throughout the venue making it convenient for our patrons to dispose of recyclables.
- Staging slimmer receptacles throughout the venue to collect aluminum.
- Offering water fill stations in both upper plazas by the entrances to encourage the elimination of single-use plastic bottles.
- Delivering all of our cardboard to the paper mill and NOT the landfill.
- Composting all food waste from the concession stands and artist/crew compounds.
With your help, our amazing team was able to divert 150,000 lbs of waste from landfills during the 2022 concert season. Plus, we donated over 1.5 tons of fresh produce to the local food bank. Through recycling, we raised over $12,000 for future sustainability projects at our venue! Our goal is to top these amazing numbers during the 2023 season! Checkout our “Sustainabili-Tree” at your next concert to monitor our progress!
